DOES A LOCAL PRESENCE IN BENTONVILLE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The company Sam Walton built has become the world's NUMBER ONE retailer. It offers suppliers great opportunities and equally great challenges. WalMart & SAMS Club suppliers are not required to have a local office in Bentonville. However, we can assure you that there is a very tangible relationship to those who are located here and their continued business success. For a buyer having local access to a supplier provides a much higher level of confidence for increased collaboration, accountability and growth.

We know WalMart's complex culture and expectations in a way that makes us much more effective to work with than those unfamiliar with the multitude of WalMart's unique methods and metrics of doing business.

WHAT ARE YOUR KEY ACCOUNT OBJECTIVES FOR WALMART AND SAMS CLUB, INCLUDING MANAGING YOUR BUSINESS WITH RETAIL LINK?

Charged with a supplier's key objectives, we provide regular contact with WalMart and/or SAMS Club's merchandising teams, including product presentations and annual line reviews. Our Retail Link analysis is regularly employed to maximize sales volumes, provide effective supply chain forecasts, manage replenishment, and solve unexpected challenges, all geared to further expand current product venues, while building new product placements.



WHAT KINDS OF RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BST ASSIST THE SUPPLIER WITH?

To establish and execute the supplier's business plans and strategic initiatives, we will: 1. Support the supplier in the planning and presentation of product initiatives, including promotional features and annual modular reviews. 2. Provide supplier GUIDANCE and DIRECTION for developing new business or additional business with future modular enhancements. 3. Help manage a cross functional team, including WM/SAMS and the supplier. 4. Execute supplier programs effectively within the WM/SAMS framework. (item creation, datasync, supply chain, fulfillment, manage replenishment, etc.) 5. Achieve and exceed WalMart & SAM'S Club sales and scorecard performance metrics for suppliers.
